Agriculture Program |
| Because of Goodland’s rural location in Southeast Oklahoma, our agriculture program is a unique elective offered at our school. Taught by the resident farm manager, students learn the fundamentals of farm operation—everything from raising cattle, to working with horses, to welding. On its 390 acres of rural land, Goodland is the home to a variety of animals, i.e., cattle, horses, llamas, goats, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, etc., which allows the boys to learn responsibility in the care of these animals. In addition, some of the animals can also be shown for competition at the annual Choctaw County Fair; and, our agriculture education program also serves as the basis for Goodland’s 4-H Club. |
